Today a new school will open in North West Oakville. Palermo Public School, which is located on ValleyRidge rd, will be serving approximately 550 students studying in either a straight English or a French Immersion program.

The principal and staff will take a systemic approach and put structures in place to deliver excellent programs that support students to achieve academic success and be the "best they can be."  The staff will develop curriculum maps that outline specific skills that will be taught at each grade.  This will allow them to make sure that all the skills are taught and reinforced and that there is a common language about expectations and skills across the grades and classes.
