I sold a 150 year old home in Bronte last week. The Ontario Home Inspection Team performed the home inspection on the property and recommended further inspections regarding the stability of the structure itself. I used Shaun from Structural Inspections Ltd. and I would highly recommend his services. He inspected the property with a days notice and came out on the Friday before the long weekend. Also present at the structural inspection was the Seller of the home, a contractor, a P.Eng and my clients. The concern was regarding some columns in the basement that were in dirt and not concrete. Another concern was the east wall of the property which appeared to be bowing out. Both engineer s concluded the inspection by saying threre were no major structural issues with the home. Shaun is writing his report and will be forwarding it to my clients next week.
